Why is Yoga important in Early Childhood

In my Yoga Teacher Training we learned about the 8 limbs of Yoga. I believe that this something that most children miss out on for the simple fact it is forgotten

The first thing we learn in Children's Yoga
Yama
The child learns ethics. They learn the good within themselves and that they are of importance. We do this through songs, stories. We also learn about nonviolence. We can solve our issues through peace.

Niyama

The study of ones self. The child gets to know themselves and what they are capable of.

Asana

We learn lots of cool postures.

Pranayama

We learned how to breath. This comes in handy with self regulation. When we get upset.

Pratyahara

We also grow inside as we learn all these new skills
